Youth Speak Competition
Youth Speak Competition

A team from Yr. 9 competed in a Youth Speak Competition at Newtownabbey Council on Wednesday 14 March. The theme was “the future of waste” and all 4 students presented very interesting and lively submissions. We won’t know if they have progressed to the next round until after Easter, but wish them luck if they have qualified. Well Done. Year 11 History trip to Stormont
Yr 11 History Trip to Stormont

Mrs Kirkland’s Year 11 History classes visited Stormont on Tuesday 16th March as part of their GCSE course. They were given a talk based on the history of the Northern Ireland Assembly and had a question and answer session with a local MLA. The group were given a tour of the building and got to observe MLAs discussing European issues in the Assembly Chamber. The visit was very informative and everybody had an extremely enjoyable day.
